- Join Maddie-May for a Theatre Jazz Class- perfect for dancers at an 'improvers’ level, who want to push their performance and dance technique. Led by Maddie-May, a Laine Theatre Arts graduate, who has 5+ years of teaching experience within the musical theatre genres, plus personal industry knowledge and experience. 

The beginning of class will be technique based; leading into new jazz choreography each week, plus optional filming opportunities in the final 15 minutes.

Each week we will structure the sessions to support developing balance in our body, breath and mind.
• Asana practice – to support physical strength, flexibility, balance and co-ordination.
• Pranayama - breathing techniques that help to lift, calm and balance the nervous system.
• Meditation - meditative practices that can support being mindful in the present.
• Reflection - Each week we will end with a reflection which relates to aspects of yoga philosophy and ethical living.

During this course you will learn footwork and partnerwork. We will work on body isolations, body movement, improving your basics as well as working on more complex moves and combinations, working on technique, drilling, build dancing confidence and working on social dancing skills...and also have some fun :)

The class is broken in  footwork/ body movement/ solo technique and  partnerwork.

The aim of the course is to give you tools to enjoy the dancing and express yourself on the dancefloor.
